Whether the "final terms" referred to in the statement by Lord Young of Graffham on 14th July 1988 (H.L. Deb. col. 981) were those contained in the Commission Decision of 13th July 1988 (89/58/EEC) as published in the Official Journal of the European Communities of 28th January 1989.

My noble friend Lord Young of Graffham announced on 14th July that the Commission had approved the final terms of the acquisition after certain changes in the structure and scale of the March agreement with British Aerospace. As my right honourable friend the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry announced in another place on 30th November 1989, certain other arrangements were made with the company which we regard as consistent with the Commission's decision.
