HC Deb 07 February 1990 vol 166 c635W
Mr. Wilkinson

To ask the Secretary of State for the Environment if he will make a statement giving his estimate of the proportion of residential housing in the outer London boroughs, i.e. not in the old London county council area, which is in conservation areas.

Mr. Chope

By 1 January 1990 there were 285 designated conservation areas in outer London, of which 253 include residential properties. It is not possible to estimate the proportion of residential property included in these areas from the information held centrally by English Heritage.
