To ask the Secretary of State for Wales what was the total amount of hill livestock compensatory allowance contributions to the Meirionnydd Nant Conwy constituency in(a) 1988 and (b)

Hill livestock compensatory allowance (HLCA) statistics are not held on a constituency basis. However, the figures for Gwynedd for the two calendar years were:

  1. (a) 1988—£5.82 million.
  2. (b) 1989—£5.96 million.
