To ask the Secretary of State for Wales if he will set up a rural affairs unit in his Department; and if he will make a statement.

§ Mr. Grist
Effective arrangements already exist within the Department to ensure the co-ordination and implementation of the various policies which affect rural 547W areas of Wales. A close relationship is also maintained with other agencies and organisations having responsibilities and an interest in rural affairs.
