HC Deb 05 February 1990 vol 166 c528W
Mr. Meacher

To ask the Secretary of State for Social Security if he will initiate a general review of benefit claims for the industrial disease vibration white finger to identify those where disablement benefit has been wrongly refused; and if he will ensure each claim is met in full.

Mr. Scott

No. Decisions on claims and how much is payable are made by independent adjudication officers. Claimants have a right to appeal against, or to a review of, those decisions.
