§ Sir Geoffrey HoweThe Accommodation and Administration Sub-Committee is at present considering a proposal from Westminster city council for the installation of various traffic and pedestrian management schemes in and around Parliament square designed to speed up traffic flow. I understand that the installation of a pedestrian crossing from Old Palace Yard would run counter to these proposals.
