§ Mr. FreemanThe total works cost of the remedial works was £21.1 million. The cost of this work was borne centrally by the Department (70 per cent.) and by the University Grants Committee (30 per cent.). Litigation receipts of £8 million resulting from settlements in this case have been paid into the Consolidated Fund.
