§ Mrs. Virginia BottomleyThere have not been any small hospital (less than 50 beds) closures between 1979 and 1989 in Mid Surrey district health authority. East Surrey closed three small hospitals, Bletchingley hospital (43 beds), Horley hospital (15 beds) and the old East Surrey hospital (48 beds). Services are being concentrated at the new East Surrey district general hospital.
