HC Deb 17 December 1990 vol 183 c92W
Dr. Godman

To ask the Secretary of State for Scotland if he will make a statement on the future of family planning services.

Mr. Michael Forsyth

[holding answer 14 December 1990]: The Government regard family planning services as an important preventive service contributing to better maternal and child health and to the stability of family life and have no plans for altering the provision of them in Scotland. It is for individual health boards to determine, within the resources available to them, the most appropriate pattern of provision of family planning services in their respective areas.
