HC Deb 17 December 1990 vol 183 c21W
Mr. Win Griffiths

To ask the Secretary of State for the Environment what information he has on the impact on disabled people of the use of domestic rate relief.

Mr. Key

Under the Rating (Disabled Persons) Act 1978 local authorities were required, on application from the occupier of a dwelling, to grant rate rebates in respect of facilities provided for the disabled. With the abolition of domestic rates, these provisions of the Act have been repealed.
