§ Mr. Peter Lloyd[holding answer 11 December 1990]: Consideration is at present being given to the establishment of a small co-ordinating bureau which will handle inquiries about missing persons from the public and the media. In the longer term, plans for the new police national computer will greatly assist the follow-up to such inquiries, but this is unlikely to be fully effective until 1992.
