§ Mr. LangAll civil service departments and agencies have access to the services of the civil service occupational health service which employs some 100 fully qualified occupational health professionals—doctors, nurses and hygiene and safety advisers. It operates via a network of regional offices throughout the United Kingdom.
At 1 December 1990 13,268 staff were employed in the Scottish Office, Scottish prison service, the Registers of Scotland executive agency and the three minor departments (Scottish Record Office, General Register Office for Scotland, and the Scottish Courts Administration) for which I am responsible.
