§ Mr. MaplesEstimates of gross domestic product per capita for a number of countries are shown in table 1 of "National Accounts Statistics: Main Aggregates and Detailed Tables, 1987" issued by the United Nations earlier this year. Data are also given in the "World Bank Atlas, 1988". Both publications are available in the Library of the House. For the Warsaw pact economies, the information on economic activity is prepared in accordance with the United Nations system of material product balances which differs from the United Nations system of national accounts used to describe Council of Europe economies.
