Mr. JacksonEmployment training was launched in September 1988. Expenditure on employment training trainee allowances was £151.7 million in 1988–89, and £527.4 million in 1989–90.
The average allowance per trainee on employment training was approximately £48 per week in 1988–89 and £50 per week in 1989–90.
