asked Her Majesty's Government:

Whether they have any plans to encourage the export activities of the United Kingdom pharmaceutical industry in order to boost the current level of international trading which this year will achieve an export surplus of over £1,000 million.

The pharmaceutical price regulations scheme allows fair and reasonable prices for the pharmaceutical products supplied to the National Health Service. These prices form the basis for prices of products exported from the United Kingdom.
