§ Mr. ForthThe Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974 places a number of general duties on employers, including
the provision and maintenance of plant and safe systems of work that are, so far as is reasonably practicable, safe and without risk to health".Working time arrangements in so far as they affect health and safety adversely are subject to this general duty.
