§ 20. Mr. ColvinTo ask the Secretary of State for Energy what is his estimate of the world's resources of uranium.
§ Mr. Heathcoat-AmoryMy Department does not make an independent assessment of the world's resources of uranium. Regular estimates are, however, published by a number of bodies and I refer my hon. Friend to the 1990 edition of the OECD/IAEA publication "Uranium Resources, Production and Demand". This indicates that known and estimated reserves are expected to be sufficient for about 75 to 175 years.
