Friend the Foreign Secretary has asked his Soviet opposite number for assurances regarding their intention with regard to treaty limited equipment withdrawn east of the Urals. The Soviet Union has responded with partial information. We and our allies will continue to press for a full account and to monitor the situation carefully.
