§ Mr. Michael ForsythLothian health board has estimated that its total expenditure on HIV and AIDS-related services was approximately £2,275,300 in 1988–89 and £2,621,700 in 1989–90. For 1990–91 the boa rd anticipates total expenditure of around £6,158,200 on such services. The board cannot readily distinguish between expenditure on persons with HIV and on those with AIDS.
