§ Mr. DorrellGross running costs expenditure on Department of Health administration was 9.0 per cent. higher in 1989–90 than the estimated expenditure in 1988–89, when the major part of the Department of Health's running costs were combined with those of the Department of Social Security in the appropriation accounts. During the same period the retail prices index increased by 7.8 per cent.
