§ Mr. ScottIn the period from 1 January to 31 October 1990, a total of 16,495 new claims have been received in all local offices covered by the Department's north western region. The table gives the number of claims received in each of the offices identified by the Department as being in Merseyside. Information about the number of successful claims and total amount of benefit paid is not available and could be obtained only at disproportionate cost.
