§ Mrs. Gillian ShephardThe annual salary and fixed fee cost of appointments made by the Treasury is about £1 million a year. There are further appointments that pay a daily fee depending on involvement and most appointments pay travel and subsistence expenses. Details of this expenditure are not held centrally and could be collected only at disproportionate cost.
