§ Mr. DorrellProfessor Malcolm Lader and his team at the Institute of Psychiatry in London provide a service to NHS patients who wish to withdraw from benzodiazepines. The service offers both psychological and pharmacological methods of treatment and aims to evaluate the effectiveness of a range of approaches to this form of drug dependency.
Research into various aspects of dependency on benzodiazepines has been carried out in Yorkshire, West Midlands and South East Thames regions.
