To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs if he has raised within the European Community the issue of the constitutional imperative of one member state to work for the acquisition of part of the United Kingdom; and if he will make a statement.

No. The EC does not have competence to consider questions of interpretation of the constitution of the Republic of Ireland.
