§ Sir Geoffrey HoweThe Privy Council Office occupies part of the Cabinet Office building in Whitehall. In the financial year 1989–90 the costs to the Department for the supply of electricity and gas were £10,923 and £1,920 respectively. The office has no formal targets for reducing consumption, but expects to contribute to the overall reduction of 15 per cent. over five years proposed for Government Departments by the Energy Efficiency Office of the Department of Energy.
