HL Deb 26 April 1990 vol 518 c768WA
Lord Swinfen

asked Her Majesty's Government:

Whether any authorities designated for community charge capping have so far accepted the cap they proposed.

Lord Hesketh

Camden notified my right honourable friend the Secretary of State for the Environment on 24th April that it accepted the cap. He has today confirmed the figure of £1770 million that he originally proposed. Camden must now set its new lower budget which will reduce the bills of Camden chargepayers by over £30, which I am sure they will welcome.
