§ Mr. NichollsThe Health and Safety Executive has already taken measures to retain trained factory inspectorate staff. These include improved pay, particularly for basic grade inspectors and the introduction of a176W flexible pay scheme which aims to reward good performance. Priority is also being given to creating improved career development and training opportunities.
