§ Mr. FreemanA total of 115 out of a total of 17,000 suppliers have indicated an intention to cease participation26W in the scheme. However, very few beneficiaries have reported that their normal supplier has refused to accept tokens. Local social security offices are able to offer advice about alternative suppliers. Where, exceptionally, the local office is satisfied that a token cannot be exchanged for milk a beneficiary can receive a payment in lieu.
