To ask the Secretary of State for the Environment what assessment he has made of the impact of wargaming upon the environment; and whether he plans to take any protective measures.

Sensitive environments are protected in appropriate cases by regulations and byelaws against damage from recreational activities. Local authorities and local residents have powers to take action against excessive noise or other forms of nuisance. The need for additional protective measures is kept under constant review.
