How many "A" designated roads have been up-graded to "Trunk" roads in the West Midlands since the calendar year 1980 to date.

Since 1980 only one existing "A" road has been up-graded to trunk road status in the West Midlands region. This is a stretch of the A.456 westwards from Junction 3 of the M.5 to the A.449(T) at Kidderminster. This was trunked in 1989.
