Mr. Forth

I propose to approve British Standard 6262 (code of practice for glazing in Buildings) for the purposes of the general safety requirement under section 10 of the Consumer Protection Act 1987 on publication of amendments to this standard. The standard will specify the use of safety glass in features such as patio doors, panels beside doors and other low-level areas where the risk of injury is greatest.
