§ Lord ReayWe expect the United Nations Secretary General to propose a resumption of the intercommunal talks on Cyprus at an appropriate moment, on the basis of Security Council Resolution 649. We shall continue to support his efforts to bring about a comprehensive, just and lasting settlement to the Cyprus dispute.
