§ Mr. MaudeAt the Anglo-German summit in London on 30 March, my right hon. Friends the Prime Minister, the Chancellor of the Exchequer, the Secretary of State for Defence, the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry and the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs had useful discussions with their German opposite numbers on a wide range of issues of mutual interest. The successful occasion underlined our close relations with the Federal Republic of Germany, one of our most important allies and partners.
