§ Mr. Barry JonesTo ask the Secretary of State for Wales what is his estimate of the earliest date for the completion of the Conwy A55 expressway tunnel; and if he will make a statement.
§ Mr. RobertsAs stated in reply to a question by the hon. Member for Newport, East (Mr. Hughes) on 2 April 1990 the contractual date for the completion of the A55 Conwy crossing is August 1991. Progress to date has been good with five of the six tunnel units in place. The bypassing of Llandudno junction is expected later this year.
