§ Mr. HoodTo ask the Secretary of State for Scotland (1) if he will visit Birkwood hospital in Lesmahagow to speak to the staff and patients about their concern about the future of the hospital; and if he will make a statement;
(2) if he will visit Law hospital in the Clydesdale constituency to discuss the future of the hospital with patients, members of staff and community groups.
§ Mr. Michael ForsythI have no immediate plans to visit either hospital. Developments there are a matter for Lanarkshire health board in the first instance and it is in touch with the views of the patients, staff and community groups.
