§ Mrs. RumboldThe National Curriculum Council has recently published a booklet entitled "A Curriculum For All" which gives guidance on ensuring access to the national curriculum for all pupils with special educational needs, whether in maintained special schools or mainstream schools. I have placed a copy in the Library. The Department has also recently issued a joint circular with the Department of Health on assessments and statements of special educational needs which also includes guidance on the national curriculum. Departmental circulars on various other aspects of the national curriculum also include guidance on their application to pupils with special educational needs.
