To ask the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry if he will outline the latest procedures for the enforcement of VHF marine licences.

My Department's radio investigation service (RIS) responds to complaints of interference to marine radio channels. The RIS also randomly inspects marine licences and installations to ensure that licence conditions are met and that only approved equipment is used.
