§ Mr. RentonExcellent progress continues to be made. The number of applications currently outstanding is less than 40,000. As I indicated to my hon. Friend the Member for Hertford and Stortford (Mr. Wells) on 26 July at column709, we expect to have taken decisions on all these applications by January 1990.
