To ask the Secretary of State for Health when the user specification for general practitioner computer programme software will be available that will enable general practitioners to provide the information required by the National Health Service authorities.

[holding answer 19 October 1989]: If my hon. Friend has in mind general practitioners' annual reports, it will be left to individual practitioners to decide how best to collect the required information.
