To ask the Prime Minister what recent representations she has received concerning skills training.

I have been asked to reply.

My right hon. Friend the Prime Minister receives representations from time to time. The Government, through their Training Agency, invest almost £3 billion in funding training. However, training is primarily the responsibility of employers, who are investing more than ever before in the skills of their employees—some £18 billion a year.
