To ask the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland how many road accidents there have been on the road between Shaw's bridge and the Milltown junction with the dual carriageway in the borough of Castlereagh in each of the past five years; and if he will make a statement.

There has been a total of 54 road accidents reported to the police in which injuries have been sustained on this stretch of road between 1 January 1984 and 3 July 1989. The figures for each year are:
