§ Mr. FreemanFollowing advice from the conference of medical colleges, in December 1988 we issued guidance to health authorities on the provision of donor organs for transplantation; this is contained in health circular HC(88) 63. We have also substantially increased the proportion of the Department's publicity budget which is devoted to organ donation.
In November I will be hosting a seminar at which an invited group of experts and interested parties will discuss what further action may be needed.
