To ask the Secretary of State for Education and Science what information he has concerning GCSE and advanced level courses concerning the study of war and conflict subjects.

The School Examinations and Assessment Council is responsible for the approval of GCSE and advanced level examination syllabuses. I am not aware of any such syllabuses concerned exclusively with the study of war and conflict subjects. The study of war and conflict is of course sometimes included as part of an examination syllabus, in subjects such as history or a humanities subject.
