To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether he will publish in theOfficial Report the value in 1988 and the current year to date of pension fund contribution holidays taken by employers and employees, respectively, together with his estimate of the amount of tax due thereon.

[pursuant to his reply, 27 July 1989, c. 853]: Information is not readily available in the form requested The table gives information on large self-administered pension funds reporting to the Inland Revenue on proposed action to remove surpluses following the legislation in the Finance Act 1986.
