Dr. ThomasTo ask the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry if his Department is participating in the international conference on cost, planning and strategic issues for industry, environmental regulation in the European Community, on 19 and 20 October.
§ Mr. ForthMy Department was not invited to participate in this conference. But DTI representatives will be participating in a number of similar conferences in the next few weeks aimed at raising the level of environmental awareness in business.
