§ Mr. Norman LamontOutput per man hour in United Kingdom manufacturing industry grew by an average of 1.6 per cent. a year over the last three years. The annual figures are 3.4 per cent. in 1986, 6.0 per cent. in 1987 and 4–8 per cent. in 1988.
