§ Mrs. Virginia BottomleyA total of 187 units have expressed interest in National Health Service trust status. I understand that 79 of these intend to proceed with preparing applications for the first wave, which we would expect to be established in April 1991. However, applications will not be invited until Parliament has approved the necessary legislation. The table lists all the units which have expressed an interest in National Health Service trust status.
