§ Mr. NichollsThe plan of the Health and Safety Executive's factory inspectorate is based on proportions of time to be spent on different aspects of its work. In the half year from 1 April to 30 September 1989 inspectors in the Health and Safety Executive's Merseyside area office made 2,910 preventive inspection visits which is 111.9 per cent. of the number of visits which it was estimated would be carried out in the period.
