§ Mr. SainsburyThe British Council have proved that they can deliver excellent value for money in promoting our interests worldwide, most notably in the fields of educational exchanges, English language teaching and the arts. We are glad to have been able to increase their grant substantially for the second year in succession which will, for example, enable the British Council to increase its operation in eastern Europe.
