§ Mr. DewarTo ask the Secretary of State for Scotland if he will list the ports currently registered for the import of toxic waste in Scotland, and the amount of such waste imported, the country of origin and the destination, and the nature of the waste, through each of those ports, for the last three years available.
§ Mr. RifkindThere is no requirement under the legislation on waste disposal for specific ports to be registered for imports. Returns made by Scottish local authorities indicate that the total amounts of waste imported into Scotland in 1987 and 1988 were as follows:
